The Kansas City Chiefs will travel to FedEx Field on Sunday afternoon to take on the Washington Football Team in a Week 6 matchup. The Chiefs are 2-3 this season and are coming off a 38-20 home loss against the Buffalo Bills. Patrick Mahomes had a decent game as he went 33-of-54 for 272 yards with two touchdowns and interceptions. Washington also is 2-3 this season and is coming off a 33-22 home loss against the New Orleans Saints. Taylor Heinicke struggled as he went 20-of-41 for 248 yards with a pair of interceptions.

These two teams have been struggling a bit this season so both franchises should be able to have a great showing here. Let’s take a closer look into these teams to determine where we should be placing our wagers.

Going Over the Hill

The Kansas City Chiefs love to throw the football and it helps having one of the best wide receivers in the league in Tyreek Hill. Hill did not practice on Wednesday due to a quad injury and is listed as questionable here. He has 37 catches for 516 yards (13.9 yards per reception) and four touchdown receptions this season. Looking at the last game against the Buffalo Bills, Hill finished with seven catches on 13 targets for 63 yards (9.0 yards per reception). If he can get healthy in time for this game, it will do wonders for the Chiefs' offense.

The Kansas City Chiefs have been struggling this season on the defensive side of the game as they are giving up 32.6 points per game. In their last game against the Buffalo Bills, they allowed 38 points on 436 total yards of offense (315 passing, 121 rushing). They did a good job limiting first downs as the Bills were just 5-of-11 on third down. They need to be better in their secondary as Josh Allen had 12.1 yards per pass attempt. If the Chiefs can figure out how to step up defensively, it will really help Kansas City get going.

Gibby Needs to Run

The Washington Football Team likes to have a more even offensive play call and it helps when you have a running back like Antonio Gibson. Gibson did not practice on Wednesday due to a shin injury and is listed as questionable. He has 79 carries for 313 yards (4.0 yards per carry) with three touchdowns on the ground and 10 receptions for 119 yards (11.9 yards per catch) with a touchdown through the air. In his previous game against the New Orleans Saints, he finished with 20 rushing attempts for 60 yards (3.0 yards per carry) with a pair of rushing touchdowns as well as two catches for 12 yards (6.0 yards per reception). If Gibson is healthy enough to play, it can really benefit the offense here.

The Washington Football Team have been struggling defensively this season as they are allowing 31 points per game. In their last game against the New Orleans Saints, they gave up 33 points on 369 total yards of offense (271 passing, 98 rushing). The Saints struggled to convert on third down as they went just 4-of-11 on third down with their only fourth-down attempt being converted. The running defense needs a little bit of help as they allowed 4.3 yards per attempt on the ground. It will really help their offense if the defense can begin to look as dominant as they were last season.
