As the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs continue this Sunday, there is a game between two Western Conference foes. Blues Return To Dallas
This season, the St. Louis Blues looked to make it back into the NHL postseason behind some solid players and some quality depth. After a shaky first half of the season, St. Louis rallied to clinch a playoff spot and has even managed to make a quality run in the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs. However, the team has lost two consecutive games and is now facing an elimination game on the road this Sunday. With a chance of forcing a seventh game in this series, look for the Blues to come out focused in this game.
The St. Louis Blues are led by star forward Ryan O’Reilly who has been tremendous this season. Last season, O’Reilly scored just 24 goals while compiling 61 total points with Buffalo. However, in his first season with the Blues, he has looked even better as he scored 28 goals along with a career-high 77 total points. He is also coming into this game in solid form as he has recorded one point in three of the team’s last four games.
Dallas Continues To Roll
This season, the Dallas Stars looked to make it back into the NHL postseason behind some elite level talent. So far this season, the team fulfilled that goal as the team managed to secure a Wild Card spot in the Western Conference. By qualifying for the playoffs, the Dallas Stars looked to potentially make it into the NHL Stanley Cup Finals and to maybe even win the championship. So far this series, Dallas has looked like a serious cup contender as the team has won each of the last two games to take a 3-2 series lead. However, St. Louis has a lot of talent on its roster and could sneak back into this series if Dallas starts to underestimate its opponent.
The Dallas Stars are led by star forward Tyler Seguin who has been tremendous this season. Last season, Seguin managed to score 20 goals while compiling 62 total points. This season, he has looked even better as he scored 40 goals along with 78 total points. However, Seguin has been even better this season as he has 33 goals along with 80 total poitns. So far in the playoffs, he has been remarkable as he has ten points in 11 games.
