In an NFC West showdown, the Arizona Cardinals will go on the road and take on the Seattle Seahawks. The Cardinals have a record of 8-2. The Seahawks enter the game with a record of 3-6.


Cardinals Get Smashed At Home

Kyler Murray and DeAndre Hopkins missed week nine but Arizona still won. Week 10 was a different story. Murray and Hopkins were out but this time Arizona got stomped at home. Arizona was favored by seven points but lost 34-10 against the Carolina Panthers. Colt McCoy went 11/20 for 107 passing yards, zero passing TDs, threw one interception, lost a fumble, and was sacked twice. McCoy suffered a pec strain and left the game. Chris Streveler replaced McCoy and went 6/9 for 36 passing yards and zero passing TDs. James Conner was limited to 39 rushing yards but managed to score a rushing TD. No receiver had more than 60 receiving yards. The defense did not record a sack but they created two turnovers.


Kyler Murray and DeAndre Hopkins missed the last two games. DeAndre Hopkins missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday. Kyler Murray practiced on Wednesday and Thursday.



The offense has been very good for the Cardinals. Arizona is averaging 28.7 points per game, which ranks top five in points per game. Kyler Murray and DeAndre Hopkins have both missed the last two weeks. In their absence, the Cardinals put 31 points in week 9 but only 10 points in week 10. James Conner leads the league with 11 rushing TDs. The Cardinals’ defense is allowing 18.9 points per game. They are top five in points per game allowed. Arizona is top 10 in the league in passing yards allowed per game and sacks per game. Arizona’s defense is playing well this season.


Seahawks Get Shutout in Wilson’s Return

Russell Wilson returned after missing three games and Seattle was held scoreless last week. They were +3 underdogs but they failed to cover the spread. Green Bay defeated Seattle 17-0. Wilson went 20/40 for 161 passing yards, zero passing TDs, two interceptions, and was sacked three times. Both DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett were held to under 30 receiving yards. The defense picked off Rodgers once, sacked him once, and Rodgers did not throw for a passing TD.


Russell Wilson returned last week after missing the three games prior. Seattle has a long list of players on the injury report.

Seattle is averaging 20.1 points per game, which ranks bottom half in points per game. Russell Wilson has missed three games this season and he just returned last week. In his three-game absence, the Seahawks averaged 20.3 points per game. Wilson struggled in his first game back and Seattle was held scoreless in the game. They are a talented bunch with Wilson, DK Metcalf, and Tyler Lockett. Seattle will turn things around on offense sooner than later. The Seahawks defense is allowing 20.7 points per game, which ranks top 10. They are second-worst in total yards allowed per game but are not giving up a lot of points. Seattle is bottom five in sacks per game and bottom 10 in interceptions. It is fluky Seattle is top 10 in points allowed per game but they rank bottom 10 in most defensive categories. Their luck on not giving up a lot of points will run out.
