Brewers Look To Avoid Getting Swept

The Milwaukee Brewers have won 39 of their first 70 games. However, the team lost each of its last two games against the Giants and is now in danger of getting swept with a loss on Sunday. Now, the Brewers will turn to Chase Anderson as the starting pitcher for this contest. Anderson has been solid this season as he is currently 3-1 with a 3.80 ERA. He also managed to go six innings while only giving up two earned runs in his last start. The Brewers will need him to pitch well once again if the team plans on winning this Sunday. The Milwaukee Brewers are led by outfielder Christian Yelich who was unbelievable last season. Last season, Yelich hit 36 home runs along with 110 RBIs as he was rightfully named the NL MVP Award winner. However, Yelich is also a fantastic contact hitter as his batting average has never been below .280 in any season in his career. Yelich is already one of the best players in baseball and he is only 27 years old. So far this season, he has a .328 batting average with 26 home runs and 56 RBIs.

Giants Look To Get Another Home Victory

The San Francisco Giants have only won 30 of their first 68 games. However, the team has continued to improve after such an abysmal start to the season. The main reason for the team’s struggles has been the team’s inability to win at home. The Giants are only 151-20 at home this season and will be looking to get another home win on Sunday. Now, the Giants will turn to Jeff Samardzija as the starting pitcher for this contest. He has been underwhelming this season with a 3-5 record this season along with a 3.72 ERA.
The San Francisco Giants are led by shortstop Brandon Crawford who was pretty solid last season. Last season, Crawford hit 14 home runs along with 54 RBIs. So far this season, Crawford has been awful as he only has a .212 batting average along with 19 RBIs in 68 games played. His struggles at the plate are a huge reason why the team’s offense has failed to generate any runs on a consistent basis so far this season. He will need to play a lot better if the Giants plan on winning this home game.
