The 22nd-ranked Auburn Tigers will hit the road to face the 10th-ranked Penn State Nittany Lions in one of the most anticipated matchups of the week on Saturday night. The Tigers are coming off a 62-0 win over Alabama State as 49.5-point favorites. The Nittany Lions are coming off a 44-13 win over Ball State as 22.5-point favorites.

 

Tigers Going For First Road Win

The Tigers picked up easy wins in their first two games. They will hit the road for the first time this season and will try to pick up their first road win against the Nittany Lions, which will be their toughest test so far.

 

 

 

Auburn is averaging 58 points per game through their first two games. They scored 62 points in their last game, throwing for 174 yards and rushing for 364 yards per game.

Bo Nix struggled with his accuracy in their last game, completing nine of 17 passes for 108 yards and two touchdowns. Jarquez Hunter had eight carries for 147 yards and one touchdown, while Tank Bigsby had 11 carries for 122 yards.

Auburn has done well defensively, giving up five points per game. They didn’t give up a point in their last game and will need another great defensive performance if they want to pull off the win.

 

Nittany Lions Going For Third Consecutive Win

The Nittany Lions are off to a perfect start after winning their first two games. They will try to keep the momentum going with a win over the Tigers, which will give them their third win in a row and second win over a top 25 team in their last three games.

 

 

 

Penn State averaged 30 points per game through their first two games. They scored 44 points in their last game, throwing for 253 yards and rushing for 240 yards.

Sean Clifford completed 21 of 29 passes for 230 yards and one touchdown. He also had 11 carries for 66 yards and one touchdown. Noah Cain had 20 carries for 69 yards and one touchdown, while Jahan Dotson had five catches for 65 yards and one touchdown.

Penn State has also played well defensively, giving up 11.5 points per game. They gave up 13 points in their last game and will need to keep it up if they want to avoid the upset.
