The Toledo Rockets will be trying to pull off an upset when they face the eighth-ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish on Saturday afternoon. The Rockets are coming off a 49-10 win over Norfolk State. The Irish are coming off a 41-38 win over Florida State.

Rockets Need Another Strong Defensive Performance

The Rockets picked up an easy win in their first game, dominating Norfolk State from start to finish in their last game. They are hoping to pull off an upset of the Irish on Saturday and will need to be at their best, especially on the defensive end, if they want to pull it off.

Toledo scored 49 points in their last game. They threw for 236 yards and rushed for 205 yards in the win.

Carter Bradley completed 66.7 percent of his passes for 183 yards and one touchdown. Dequan Finn led the team with 82 rushing yards and one touchdown, while Devin Maddox led the team with 91 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Toledo also played well defensively, giving up 10 points in the win. They are facing a better offensive team and will need a similar effort if they want to win this game.

Irish Going For Second Consecutive Win

The Irish got their season off to a good start with a road win over Florida State. They will try to keep the momentum going with a win over the Rockets, which will give them their second win in a row.

Notre Dame scored 41 points in their first game. They threw for 366 yards and rushed for 65 yards in the win.

Jack Coan completed 74.3 percent of his passes for 366 yards, four touchdowns, and one interception. Kyren Williams led the team with 42 rushing yards, while Michael Mayer led the team with 120 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Notre Dame didn’t play well defensively, giving up 38 points in the win. Their run defense was particularly bad and they will need to play better if they want to get the win.
