Chippewas Trying To Ride Offense To Win

The Chippewas split their first two games of the season, but they played well offensively in both games, especially on the ground. They are facing an LSU team that hasn’t looked dominant defensively in two games and will try to take advantage of their defensive struggles and pick up their second straight win.

Jacob Sirmon completed 10 of 16 passes for 110 yards and three touchdowns. De'Javion Stepney had nine carries for 81 yards, while Lew Nichols III followed up his big game against Missouri with 17 carries for 79 yards and one touchdown. Dallas Dixon led the team with five catches for 73 yards and two touchdowns.

Central Michigan is giving up 17 points per game through their first two games. They didn’t give up any points in their last game and will need a similar effort if they want to beat the Tigers.

Tigers Going For Second Consecutive Win

The Tigers followed up their loss to UCLA with a win over McNeese in their last game, giving them their first win of the year. They will try to keep the momentum going with a win over the Chippewas, which will give them their second win in a row.

LSU is averaging 30.5 points per game. They scored 34 points in their last game, throwing for 180 yards and rushing for 124 yards in the win.

Max Johnson completed 18 of 27 passes for 161 yards and three touchdowns. Corey Kiner had 11 carries for 56 yards and one touchdown, while Jack Bech had four receptions for 57 yards.

LSU is giving up 22.5 points per game. They gave up only seven points in their last game and will need to keep playing well on the defensive end if they want to win this game.
