The Los Angeles Angels will be looking for a quick response after they were drubbed in the previous game by the Colorado Rockies 12-3. The Angels are now back to 0.500 for the season after a three-game winning streak was broken.
Rockies end three-game losing runSeason form
After putting up four runs in three games, the Rockies brought all their offense to end their three-game losing streak and beat the Los Angeles Angels 12-3. The Rockies are still struggling with a 44-57 record.
“We caught a break in the first inning. They made a couple errors,” Colorado manager Bud Black said. “And the shortstop made an error on Trevor (Story’s) ball in the third, so they helped us early in the game. From that point on, we had some pretty good at-bats and two-out hits. Some good walks. Some good battles. Early they helped us out, we capitalized and ran the bases hard and beat out some fielder’s choices.”
Chi Chi Gonzalez will start for the Rockies in this game. He has a 3-6 record with an ERA of 6.06. Since May 13, he has just one win. He also has a WHIP of 1.46

Angels back at 0.500 at 50-50Season form
A three-game winning streak was broken as the Angels were drubbed in the previous game. They temporarily moved over 0.500 for the season but are now back, at 50-50 for the season. Nice symmetry there.
“Nothing surprises me,” Angels manager Joe Maddon said of Ohtani. “From the waist down, it’s just a perfect swing and it’s really loud. He finishes so well. That was the longest one I’ve seen in that section. That thing was an absolute accelerated baseball. Nothing surprises. Nothing he’s doing can surprise us.”
Andrew Heaney will step up to the mound on Wednesday. He has a 6-7 record with an ERA of 5.32, 105 strikeouts (tied for 45th in the nation) with a WHIP of 1.32.
