Las Vegas Raiders vs Chicago Bears Prediction & Preview

Two proud NFL franchises that have not won in a while meet when the Chicago Bears come calling on the Las Vegas Raiders in Sin City Sunday, Oct 10, at Allegiant Stadium. The Bears got their first win of the season over the luckless Lions behind a solid performance by rookie QB Justin Fields while the red-hot Raiders got cooled off by the Chargers on the road to drop into a tie atop the AFC West. It is an afternoon kick-off in Vegas, and a party on the strip is soon to follow, win or lose for the home team.

The Saints have had a bizarre season?

The Chicago Bears notched their second win with a good performance by rookie QB Justin Fields. Fields threw 11-17 for 209 yards and no touchdowns with an interception. The Lions sacked Fields once. However, this performance did come against a Lions team ranked among the bottom third of defenses in the league. The Lions are also winless. The Lions could move the ball against the Bear's 12th ranked defense in the league, but despite three trips into the red zone in the first half, they failed to score any points. The game could have been much closer if the Lions had not shot themselves in the paw on those drives.

The news about the Bears running back David Montgomery, who scored twice in the game, is not great – he will miss this next game and probably more with a knee injury.

Fields will start against the Raiders on Sunday. It looks like it's his job for now and probably for the long term.

Las Vegas Started Hot winning 3 in a row but stumbled against the Chargers Monday Night – can they turn their luck around against Da Bears

The Raiders opened the season with three straight wins against quality opponents in the Ravens, Steelers, and Dolphins. Two of the games went into overtime, and the win against the Steelers is starting to look less impressive as the season continues.

The Raiders have been moving the ball through the air with QB Derek Carr until recently leading the NFL in passing.

Monday Night against the Chargers, Gruden stubbornly tried to get the run game going leading toseveral short and stalled drives that gave the Chargers excellent field position. By halftime, the Chargers had jumped out to a 21 point lead.

The Raiders threw in the second half but could not catch up, succumbing 28-14 to the Bolts. The Raiders are fifth in total offense scoring 26 points per game, mainly in the passing game. The Raiders rank 19th in the NFL in team defense and are stingier against the pass than the run. But now they have a banged-up secondary. They are winning games with an average point differential of six. Whether Jon Gruden lets Carr cook or if he again tries to force the running game to work will go a long way to determining the outcome of this game
