KENTUCKY vs MISSOURI Prediction & Preview

Missouri (1-0) opened its college football regular season with a 34-24 victory over Central Michigan. Running back Tyler Badie was the offensive workhorse for the Tigers with 203 yards rushing, while quarterback Connor Bazelak passed for a pair of touchdowns. Missouri's defense forced a pair of Central Michigan turnovers that were a big difference in the outcome. Missouri wide receiver Jay Maclin is out indefinitely and wide receiver Mookie Cooper is questionable.

Kentucky is 1-0 following its 45-10 victory in the opening game of the regular season over Louisiana-Monroe. Kentucky was led by quarterback Will Levis who passed for four touchdowns while running back Chris Rodriguez Jr rushed for one touchdown and wide receiver Josh Ali caught one touchdown reception. The Wildcats defense gave up just 88 yards of total offense. Kentucky has a laundry list of injured players with 7 questionable for Saturday while Keaton Upshaw. Missouri off to a solid start

The Missouri Tigers are 1-0 and the offense dominated in the season opener. The Tigers gained 211 yards on the ground and 257 through the air. Quarterback Connor Bazelak has passed for 257 yards with two touchdowns. The leading rusher is Tyler Baddie with 203 yards and one touchdown and an 8.1-yard per carry average. Wide receiver Dionte Smith has 69 yards receiving to lead the Tigers.

 

Missouri gave up 24 points in its opening win over Central Michigan but the Tigers allowed the Chippewas to gain 475 yards of total offense with 174 yards on the ground and 301 yards through the air. Missouri linebacker Blaze Alldredge has a team-high 10 tackles and 3.5 quarterback sacks, while defensive back Jaylon Carlies has one interception

 

Quarterback Will Levis Off to Big Start

The Kentucky Wildcats scored 49 points in their season opener while gaining 554 yards of total offense. The Wildcats are second in team passing with 419 yards per game and 79th in rushing with 135 yards. Quarterback Will Levis has passed for 367 yards with four touchdowns and one interception. Levis was sacked once in the opening game. Chris Rodriquez Jr leads all Kentucky rushers with 125 yards and one touchdown, while Josh Ali is the leading receiver with 136 yards and one touchdown. Wan’Dale Robinson has 125 yards receiving and a pair of touchdown receptions.

 

 

Kentucky is 26th in overall defense after allowing 10 points and just 88 yards of total offense to Louisiana-Monroes including 18 yards rushing and 70 yards passing. On defense, end Josh Paschal is the leading tackler with 7. Linebacker JJ Weaver is the leader in quarterback sacks with 2 and as a team Kentucky has six sacks after one game. Defensive back Yusuf Corker is the leader in interceptions with 2.
