The Denver Nuggets head back to Golden State to play the Warriors on Wednesday for Game 5. Denver (1-3) avoided the sweep back on Sunday with a 126-121 win. Golden State (3-1) is looking to advance to the second round at home. Tip-off is set for 10 p.m. EDT.

Nuggets Looking To Force Game 6

Denver has struggled to shut down the Warriors' offense of Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Jordan Poole but in Game 4, they were led by Nikola Jokic. Although Curry and Thompson both dropped 30+, Jokic had 37 while Monte Morris had 24 and Aaron Gordon dropped 21. Denver had used a big first half to control the game as they were up 63-52 to stave off elimination.

The Nuggets went 25-16 on the road as they played well but they struggled in the first two games of the series as they were blown out in both games. This season, Denver was led by Nikola Jokic who dropped 27.1 PPG while Aaron Gordon dropped 15 and Will Barton had 14.7. In the regular season, they also shot 48.3% from the field and 35.3% from three. In this series, however, they have been led by Jokic who's averaging 31.3 while Morris is averaging 14 and Barton is chipping in with 13.8, while they are shooting 48.3% from the field and 39.1% from three.

Denver will be without Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr. as they have been for this entire series.

Warriors Hope To Close Out Series At Home

Golden State is looking to advance to the second round and get some rest as they wait for the other first-round series to end. The Warriors struggled out of the get-go in Game 4 but nearly came back as they outscored Denver by four in the second half but it was too little too late. In the game, they were led by Steph Curry who dropped 33 while Klay Thompson dropped 32, and Andrew Wiggins had 20. Draymond Green had a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds while Jordan Poole had 11.

The Warriors went 1-3 this season against Denver but they weren't healthy for most of the season with Thompson and then Green being out. In this series, as they are fully healthy they have shown they are a much better team than the Nuggets. In the regular season, they were led by Curry who averaged 25.5 while Thompson and Poole averaged 20.4 and 18.5 PPG. In the series, meanwhile, Curry is averaging 27.5 while Thompson is averaging 24.5 and Poole has had a breakout series as he's averaging 24.3. They are also shooting 53.1% from the field and 42.3% from three.

Golden State is only without James Wiseman.
