The UCF Knights will be going for their second consecutive win when they face the BYU Cougars in the RoofClaim.com Boca Raton Bowl on Tuesday night. The Knights are coming off a 58-46 win over USF in a game they were favored to win by 25 points. The Cougars are coming off a 28-14 win over San Diego State in a game they were favored to win by 16.5 points.

The Knights and Cougars have split the two meetings between them.

 

Knights Going For Fifth Win In Six Games

The Knights played well down the stretch of the regular season, winning four of their last five games. They will be going for their fifth win in their last six games and second consecutive bowl win when they play on Tuesday.

 

UCF is one of the best offensive teams in the nation, averaging 44.3 points per game. The team is averaging 373 passing yards and 212.6 rushing yards per game.

Dillon Gabriel has completed 61.7 percent of his passes for 3,353 yards, 30 touchdowns, and four interceptions. Greg McCrae leads the team with 681 rushing yards and nine touchdowns, while Marlon Williams leads the team with 1,039 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns.

The Knights have one of the worst defenses in the country, giving up 31.4 points per game. They gave up 46 points in their last game and will need to play significantly better if they want to win this game.

 

Cougars Going For First 11-Win Season Since 2009

The Cougars played well this season, with their only loss coming against 18th-ranked Coastal Carolina in a game they took at the last minute. They will be trying to pick up their second win in a row, which will give them their first 11-win season in over a decade.

 

BYU has played well offensively, averaging 43 points per game. The team is averaging 322.2 passing yards and 187.9 rushing yards per game.

Zach Wilson has completed 73.2 percent of their passes for 3,267 yards, 30 touchdowns, and three interceptions. He also has 242 rushing yards and eight touchdowns. Tyler Allgeier leads the team with 957 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns, while Dax Milne leads the team with 1,118 receiving yards and eight touchdowns.
